Northern Premier League | Midlands Division | Thursday 26 December 2024
Due to the absence of our ace reporter the Reverend Hugh Baker and the fog encircling the ground throughout the chances of the stand in reporter making any sense of the proceedings were slim. Due to other necessary matchday duties and the fog only two of the five goals were witnessed.
Kevin Ngombi put the Mikes ahead on 16 minutes; Kai Tongue equalised from an Owen Parry through ball some minutes later; Jack Lynch fired Sutton ahead shortly before half time.
Further goals at the far end of the ground, unseen as explained above, through Parry and a second for Tongue gave Sutton a deserved victory.
