Boldmere snatched the points thanks to a brilliant solo goal, five minutes before the final whistle, from Theo Rowe, the winger had spent the afternoon frustrating the home fans but picked his moment in the 85th minute to settle the game.
This was no classic despite there being five goals in the game and the visitors will surely consider themselves hard done by to return home pointless. 

Manager Neil Kitching made two enforced changes in the starting line up due the unavailability of Joe Hull and Sean Devlin; George Cleet returned to captain the side in Hull’s absence and Rowe was restored to the starting line-up.
A tight game was expected, the visitors had kept the only clean sheet against league leaders Corby Town whilst the Mikes are the only team to have scored against them to date.

It was Wellingborough who took the lead in the tenth minute, an innocuous looking shot by Will Jones was diverted at close range by Tom Iaciofano and completely deceived Jonathan Brown. The Mikes were struggling to get into the game despite an industrious display by Oliver West in midfield.

There was little to excite the sparse crowd but Liam Murphy brightened the outlook scoring with a lovely left foot shot past Adam North to level matters. It was even at the break and with the Mikes due to attack in their favourite direction a better second was envisaged.
The visitors had other ideas and regained the lead ten minutes after the resumption, Jones scoring with a header from distance from a left-wing cross. West scored from the penalty spot to equalise for the second time some ten minutes later and it left plenty of time for both sides to search for the winner.

 Good chances were at a premium although both sides did not look particularly sure at the back. A flurry of substitutes not changing too much with the points still at stake. That is until Rowe stepped up to the plate, operating most of the game on the right wing he switched flanks on the introduction of Gus Sanches. His goal was worthy of winning any match and hopefully will prove the starting point for many more as the season progresses.
